Drywall Stud and Track Roll Forming Machine
Drywall Steel Stud Roll Forming Machine
A drywall stud and track line running 0.45–0.8 mm galvanised coil at up to 15 m/min, with in-line punching and a flying cut-off. Studs are formed progressively and cut off while moving, so the line does not stop for every length change.
- Sheet thickness 0.45–0.8 mm
- Forming stations 14
- Forming speed 0–15 m/min
- Main motor 11 kW

Technical data
Drywall Steel Stud Roll Forming Machine specifications
Values below are for the standard build of this model. Thickness range, station count and motor rating are re-calculated when the profile or the steel grade changes.
Send your profile drawing| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Sheet thickness | 0.45–0.8 mm |
| Forming stations | 14 |
| Forming speed | 0–15 m/min |
| Shaft diameter | φ75 mm, 40Cr |
| Roller material | GCr15 |
| Main motor | 11 kW |
| Hydraulic station power | 7.5 kW |
| Punching | In-line hydraulic punch, hole pitch set on the HMI |
| Cutting | Flying cut-off |
| Cutting blade | Cr12MoV, HRC 56–58 |
| Control | PLC + touch screen |
Final values follow the profile drawing and material grade. Tolerance, power supply and line layout are confirmed on the approved drawing.
Working process
From coil to finished profile
The sequence below is the standard layout for this model. Stations are added or removed when the section needs more forming passes.
- 01 Decoiling Manual or hydraulic decoiler, 3–5 t coil.
- 02 Main roll forming 14 stations; the flange and lip are formed before the web stiffener.
- 03 Hydraulic punching Service holes, screw holes and dimples punched at the intervals set on the screen.
- 04 Cut to length Flying cut-off — the stud is cut while moving, so length changes do not stop the line.
- 05 Run-out table Short roller table; studs are light and stack by hand or by a simple catcher.
Main components
- Main roll forming machine 14 stations, φ75 mm 40Cr shafts, GCr15 rolls.
- Hydraulic punch unit Multi-hole die with programmable pitch for service and screw holes.
- Flying cut-off Cut-off carriage that travels with the strip, then returns.
- PLC control cabinet Touch screen for length, hole pitch, batch count.
- Hydraulic station 7.5 kW unit serving punch and cut-off.
- Run-out table Compact table with a stud catcher.

Samples & running line
Profiles from this machine, and the line in motion
Every line is sampled before shipment. Photos below are from the build of this model; the video shows the line running on production material.
Samples are cut at three lengths from the same coil and checked for hole pitch, lip angle and straightness over 3 m.

Ask for the latest running video
We record a fresh clip of this model before shipment. Ask for it and we will send the current video, plus a live call from the factory floor if you want to see the line under power.
Profile range
- C-stud 50 / 64 / 76 / 92 / 146 mm web
- U-track matching the stud web, 25 mm flange
- Ceiling channel and furring channel
- Sigma and double-C profiles on request
Engineering & service
Custom build, installation and after-sales
A roll forming line is only finished when it runs on your material at your output. These three parts of the scope are quoted together with the machine.
Custom engineering
The stud web, flange and lip are all in the tooling, so a change of partition system usually means new rolls, not a new machine. We can also build the line with quick-change cassettes so one frame runs both C-stud and U-track without a crane.
- Tooling cut to your drawing or sample
- Electrics to your plant voltage and frequency
- Layout and foundation drawing before shipment
Installation & training
An engineer supervises installation and trains your operators on the actual line — not on a generic manual. Training covers coil loading, size change, tooling change and daily maintenance.
- On-site commissioning and first production run
- Operator training on your material
- Remote video support if travel is not practical
After-sales support
A 12-month warranty on the mechanical parts, with a 24-hour response on technical enquiries. Wearing parts — rollers, punch dies, hydraulic seals — are kept in stock for fast dispatch.
- 12-month mechanical warranty
- Spare rollers and dies from stock
- 24-hour response on remote support
What we need from you
Four inputs that decide 80% of the design
- 01 Profile drawing with dimensions and tolerances
- 02 Material type, thickness range and steel grade
- 03 Target output per shift or per day
- 04 Plant voltage, frequency and available floor length
FAQ
Questions buyers ask about this machine
Answers come from real quotation discussions on this model. If your question is not here, ask it in the form below and an engineer will answer it directly.
What is the difference between this line and a stud-only line?
A stud-only line forms the C section with a fixed web. This line is normally built with a track cassette or a second set of rolls so the same plant can supply both C-stud and U-track, which is what a partition contractor orders.
How accurate is the hole pitch?
With the standard punch the pitch is set on the HMI and held to about ±1 mm. With servo feeding it holds ±0.5 mm at production speed.
Can it run 0.45 mm coil at full speed?
Yes. At the thin end the limit is marking, not power — we polish the rolls and reduce the entry tension so the galvanised surface is not scuffed.
What is the delivery time?
45–60 days after drawing approval. Extra cassettes add 15–20 days.
