View DetailsTechnical overview
Floor deck is a structural element, not cladding. The sheet carries embossments, stiffening ribs and a re-entrant dovetail that concrete keys into, and it is formed from 0.8–1.2 mm high strength coil — several times the forming load a roof panel line sees.
That load is what separates the two machine families. A deck line runs 25 forming stations on 85 mm shafts, with two 5 kW main motors and a frame welded from heavier section steel. The embossing and stiffener stations are machined into the same shaft line as the forming passes, so profile geometry stays consistent along the full sheet length.
Cutting is post-cut on a hydraulic shear sized for the section, because a flying shear on 1.5 mm high strength deck marks the cut edge and shortens tool life. End stopping, side lap and the interlocking rib are formed in the last passes. Deck is normally specified together with a roof panel line and a purlin line for the same project — see building and construction.
Figures are typical for this category. Final values follow the profile drawing and material grade.

FAQ
Answers come from real quotation discussions. If your question is not here, ask it directly and an engineer will answer.
Standard builds handle yield strength from 235 to 550 MPa. Above 450 MPa the forming stations are increased and the motor rating steps up, so tell us the steel grade at enquiry stage rather than after the order.
Yes. Roll tooling is machined to your profile drawing, including rib height, embossing pattern and side lap detail. A profile drawing or a sample sheet is enough for us to quote the tooling.
A flying shear travelling with 1.5 mm high strength deck needs very high acceleration and leaves a marked edge. Post-cut lets the line stop, shear cleanly and restart, which is why deck lines run at 12–15 m/min rather than roof line speeds.
Lines over 8 m are built in two or three sections with bolted joints and alignment pins, shipped in 40 ft containers. Reassembly on site is covered in the installation manual and by our technician during commissioning.
