Laser Welding Tube Roll Forming Machine
Laser Welding T-shaped Square Tube Roll Forming Machine for Sliding Gate Track
A laser welding tube line for sliding gate track: decoiler, forming, laser welding, saw cutting and PLC control in one pass. 22 stations form the T-shaped square tube from 1.5–2.0 mm coil at up to 10 m/min, and the laser leaves a seam that needs no grinding.
- Sheet thickness 1.5–2.0 mm
- Forming stations 22
- Forming speed 0–10 m/min
- Main motor 37 kW

Working process
From coil to finished profile
The sequence below is the standard layout for this model. Stations are added or removed when the section needs more forming passes.
- 01 Decoiling 5 t decoiler, coil ID 508–620 mm, OD up to 1800 mm.
- 02 Main roll forming 22 stations form the tube and close the seam gap for welding.
- 03 Laser welding Laser head welds the seam in line; the seam is smooth and needs no grinding.
- 04 Saw cutting Saw cuts the tube to length, square and burr-controlled.
- 05 Run-out Finished track to the packing area.
Main components
- 5 t decoiler Coil ID 508–620 mm, OD ≤1800 mm.
- Main roll forming machine 22 stations, φ80 mm 45# shafts HRC 250–280, GCr12 rolls HRC 58–62.
- Laser welding head In-line seam welding with a smooth bead — no post-weld grinding.

Samples & running line
Profiles from this machine, and the line in motion
Every line is sampled before shipment. Photos below are from the build of this model; the video shows the line running on production material.
Samples are supplied as 1 m welded track sections, with the seam photographed and the weld width measured, so the surface quality can be checked before shipment.
Profile range
- T-shaped square tube for sliding gate track
- Square tube 40 × 40 to 80 × 80 mm
- Rectangular tube with a T rib
- Custom track section per drawing
Engineering & service
Custom build, installation and after-sales
A roll forming line is only finished when it runs on your material at your output. These three parts of the scope are quoted together with the machine.
Custom engineering
The laser is the reason this line exists: a T-shaped track shows its seam, so a welded joint that needs grinding is a cost per metre, not a one-off. We match the laser source and the seam gap to your thickness range, and can build the same line for a different tube section with a new roll cassette.
- Tooling cut to your drawing or sample
- Electrics to your plant voltage and frequency
- Layout and foundation drawing before shipment
Installation & training
An engineer supervises installation and trains your operators on the actual line — not on a generic manual. Training covers coil loading, size change, tooling change and daily maintenance.
- On-site commissioning and first production run
- Operator training on your material
- Remote video support if travel is not practical
After-sales support
A 12-month warranty on the mechanical parts, with a 24-hour response on technical enquiries. Wearing parts — rollers, punch dies, hydraulic seals — are kept in stock for fast dispatch.
- 12-month mechanical warranty
- Spare rollers and dies from stock
- 24-hour response on remote support
What we need from you
Four inputs that decide 80% of the design
- 01 Profile drawing with dimensions and tolerances
- 02 Material type, thickness range and steel grade
- 03 Target output per shift or per day
- 04 Plant voltage, frequency and available floor length
FAQ
Questions buyers ask about this machine
Answers come from real quotation discussions on this model. If your question is not here, ask it in the form below and an engineer will answer it directly.
Does the laser weld need grinding afterwards?
No. The laser closes the seam in one pass and leaves a smooth bead, which is the main reason to use laser welding on a visible track profile instead of TIG or high-frequency welding.
What line speed does the laser allow?
0–10 m/min on 1.5–2.0 mm steel. The limit is the welding speed for the thickness, not the forming machine, so a higher-power laser source is the upgrade path.
Can the same line run a different tube section?
Yes, with a second roll cassette. The laser, saw and control stay; the forming stations and the seam guide change.
What is the delivery time?
75–100 days after drawing approval, because the laser source and the welding head are procured to order.
