Technical data
Fully Automatic Cable Tray Roll Forming Machine specifications
Values below are for the standard build of this model. Thickness range, station count and motor rating are re-calculated when the profile or the steel grade changes.
Send your profile drawing| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Tray width | 100–800 mm, motorised adjustment |
| Sheet thickness | 1.2–2.0 mm |
| Roll forming speed | about 15 m/min |
| Line speed after punch & cut | about 8–10 m/min |
| Perforation | Hydraulic punch, pattern per drawing |
| Decoiler | 7 t hydraulic with coil car |
| Leveler | Included |
| Width adjustment | Motorised, set from the touch screen |
| Footprint | about 30 m × 5 m |
| Cutting | Hydraulic cutting |
| Control | PLC + touch screen, batch and width presets |
Final values follow the profile drawing and material grade. Tolerance, power supply and line layout are confirmed on the approved drawing.
Working process
From coil to finished profile
The sequence below is the standard layout for this model. Stations are added or removed when the section needs more forming passes.
- 01 Decoiling 7 t hydraulic decoiler with coil car; coil loaded without a crane on the floor.
- 02 Leveling Leveler removes coil set before punching, so the hole pattern stays in line.
- 03 Hydraulic punching Perforation pattern punched in a single stroke across the tray width.
- 04 Hydraulic cutting Cut to length before forming, so the blank is square.
- 05 Transport table Moves the cut blank to the forming entry at line speed.
- 06 Main roll forming Width adjustable forming machine — the side units move to the tray width.
- 07 Run-out table Finished tray leaves on a roller table.
Main components
- 7 t hydraulic decoiler With coil car, hydraulic expansion and brake.
- Leveler Removes coil curvature before punching.
- Hydraulic punch Full-width perforation die, changeable for a different hole pattern.
- Hydraulic cut-off Cuts the flat blank to length before forming.
- Transport table Powered table linking the cut-off to the forming machine.
- Width-adjustable forming machine Motorised side units set the tray width from the HMI.
- PLC control cabinet Width, length and quantity presets; recipe memory for repeat orders.
- Hydraulic station Serves punch and cutting.
Optional configuration
Samples & running line
Profiles from this machine, and the line in motion
Every line is sampled before shipment. Photos below are from the build of this model; the video shows the line running on production material.
Samples are supplied at three widths from the same coil, with the perforation pattern and the return flange dimensioned on the inspection sheet.
Profile range
- Perforated cable tray, width 100–800 mm
- Tray with a return flange and a rolled edge
- Cable tray cover (same line, second pass)
- Tray with a centre divider groove
Engineering & service
Custom build, installation and after-sales
A roll forming line is only finished when it runs on your material at your output. These three parts of the scope are quoted together with the machine.
Custom engineering
Cable tray is a width-variable product, so the value of a fully automatic line is in the changeover: a motorised width adjustment turns a 100 mm order and an 800 mm order into the same setup. The perforation pattern, the return flange and the cover profile are all cut to your catalogue, and we can add a cover pass so trays and covers come off one line.
- Tooling cut to your drawing or sample
- Electrics to your plant voltage and frequency
- Layout and foundation drawing before shipment
Installation & training
An engineer supervises installation and trains your operators on the actual line — not on a generic manual. Training covers coil loading, size change, tooling change and daily maintenance.
- On-site commissioning and first production run
- Operator training on your material
- Remote video support if travel is not practical
After-sales support
A 12-month warranty on the mechanical parts, with a 24-hour response on technical enquiries. Wearing parts — rollers, punch dies, hydraulic seals — are kept in stock for fast dispatch.
- 12-month mechanical warranty
- Spare rollers and dies from stock
- 24-hour response on remote support
What we need from you
Four inputs that decide 80% of the design
- 01 Profile drawing with dimensions and tolerances
- 02 Material type, thickness range and steel grade
- 03 Target output per shift or per day
- 04 Plant voltage, frequency and available floor length

FAQ
Questions buyers ask about this machine
Answers come from real quotation discussions on this model. If your question is not here, ask it in the form below and an engineer will answer it directly.
Can I produce the cable tray cover on the same machine?
Yes. The line can be built with a cover pass, so perforated tray and cover come off the same machine. Tell us at order stage because the cover needs its own roll set and a different run-out path.
How is the tray width changed?
Motorised side units move to the width entered on the touch screen; the change takes a few minutes and does not require removing rolls. That is the main difference from a fixed-width tray line.
What is the production speed?
Roll forming runs at about 15 m/min, but the line speed after punching and cutting settles at about 8–10 m/min. The punch is the bottleneck, not the forming machine.
What is the delivery time?
About 80 days after drawing and perforation pattern approval, because the punch die and the width adjustment are built to order.
What is the warranty?
A 12-month warranty on the mechanical parts, with a 24-hour response on technical enquiries. Spare rollers, punch dies and hydraulic seals are kept in stock for fast dispatch.
